I didn't do much on Saturday; by the time I got motivated enough to go outside it was raining. Sunday, while a lot cooler, was a lot nicer. I finally got everything pulled out and started on the dishwasher cart/island for Jess and Heather.
I had intended to use the table saw, but the 2' x 4' project panel I bought at Lowe's wasn't even remotely close to square. If my table saw had the wings for it I could have used it, just set it for the width I needed (20") but my table is only 16", so I had planned to just set it for the amount to cut off (4"). Ugh. I ended up using the circular saw instead, and I took one of the other boards and made a guide for it.
I also miscalculated the number of linear feet I needed. I am a board short. So I ended up making a trip to Home Depot. It won't be a perfect match (the Home Depot project boards look a little different than the Lowe's ones), but oh well.
I have also been cleaning out the CR-V so I can work on the conversion for it; beef it up a little and reorganize it. As I was cleaning it out, I noticed that apparently bringing an air freshener was a mistake. The air freshener apparently really didn't like freezing.
The clouds were quite fascinating, and hauling most of the day on Sunday. It was still reasonably warm, up into the 30s, but the wind was howling on Sunday.
Since the cold has returned, I am assuming that is as close to a January thaw as we are going to get. Still though, most of my snow is developing pockets of disappearance. Parts of the driveway are bare again. The rest is slick ice and even the CR-V spins out on it now on the way up, but I still haven't had any issues.
